I am going to tell about a times I had to work with a small group of kids.

I have had a few different opportunities to work with group of kids.  In high school I was on many different sports teams and we would spend days doing clinics for the kids.  We would have to work together to teach the kids to do simple skills in the sports such as dribbling, shooting, passing, etc. They would all learn the skills at different levels and speeds so it was our job to keep helping the slower kids but pushing the faster learning kids.

Another opportunity that I have had with kids is through church activities.  When I was one of the older girls in my Young Womens classes we would have to work with the girls that were younger than us and to help them have a smooth transition into their new classes.

When I substitute teach it is important to "spread myself thin" over the entire classroom so that I can help all the students equally and make sure that they all are understanding the things being taught. We have to use our best abilities to help all the students in their own ways to understand what we are teaching them.  Having a good attitude and positive outlook on their education can make all the difference in a student wanting to learn and be eager to go to school each day.
