Blog #4
The first thing I have participated in was fixing a math test that had the correct answers circled on all of the students copies. I had to make the rest of the choices match it by making my own circles around the other letter choices so that they all looked the same. It took me a while which made me realize how much time it takes to prepare for different lessons, tests, and activities.
I also read their spelling words to them, and corrected the test afterwards. Giving the test was quite interesting to see how each student responded to the pressure differently and to see who needed the words repeated more. Grading it was really fun! I loved being able to leave the students notes on their papers, like Good job! Awesome work! Great spelling! and fun things like that to make them feel good about themselves.
Being apart of these two different tasks as a teacher was very helpful and eye opening to see what kinds of things a teacher has to do. I can see why they would have to stay after school longer and get there early.
